Kenya’s dollar bonds are the worst performers in Africa after the nation cancelled plans to raise $1bln in Eurobonds. Yields on Kenya’s $2bln of Eurobonds due 2024 have climbed 484bps to 15.47% in June. Kenya leads the drop in Africa and emerging markets with the average Eurobond yield loss of 12.1%. Nigeria follows with a loss of 10.9%. That compares with the 5.8% average decline for developing nations.
