China’s trade surplus hit a record high in June as exports surged after the country emerged from its crippling lockdowns. The trade balance climbed to about $98bln in June from $79bln in May, reaching the highest level in more than three decades. Exports grew 18% YoY in June to $331bln, the second-highest reading since December 2021.
