Colombia’s monthly trade balance likely saw a deficit of $1.09bln in May compared with a $485mln shortfall in April. According to preliminary figures, export revenues declined to $4.55bln in May from $5.42bln in April while Imports fell to $5.64bln in May from $5.91bln in April. Meanwhile, the country’s economic activity index likely jumped 19.2% YoY in May, mainly due to robust domestic demand and base effects.
