Following Ukraine’s announcement to seek a two-year debt repayment freeze, the Paris Club of creditors said it backed the proposal and would suspend Ukraine’s debt service obligations until at least the end of 2023. The group, which includes the US, the UK, France, Germany, Japan, and Canada, appealed to other creditors of Ukraine to reach an agreement with the war-torn country on debt service suspension.
