Georgia’s largest opposition party said it has quit parliament and will take to the streets following a court decision denying former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili’s bid for an early release due to worsening health. Saakashvili, the party’s founder, has been detained since October 2021 after re-entering the country at the end of his Presidency in 2013.
