Malaysia’s economy expanded 7% YoY in the fourth quarter of 2022, slowing from a 14.2% growth in the previous quarter. Considering the whole year, GDP advanced by 8.7%, the highest growth in two decades, compared to a 3.3% rise in 2021. Meanwhile, the country’s unemployment rate declined to 3.6% in December from 4.2% in the corresponding month of the previous year. Meanwhile, the labor force increased by 2.4% to 16.73 mln.
