President Putin has approved a new foreign policy strategy to counter what Russia perceives as the West’s “dominance” in global affairs. The strategy labels the US and its allies as pursuing an “aggressive” policy to weaken Russia. Separately, Russia’s central bank has extended its ban on money transfers abroad until September 30th. Under the new rule, Russians and citizens of friendly countries will be allowed to transfer up to USD 1 mln to foreign bank accounts within a month, with a limit of USD 10,000 or the equivalent in another currency per transfer.
