Malaysia trade surplus was 26.69 bln ringgit in March, almost the same as the previous year but surpassed market expectations of 21.10 bln ringgit. The decline in commodity prices caused exports to fall by 1.4% YoY, while imports decreased by 1.8%. Malaysia recorded a trade surplus of 255.1 bln ringgit in 2022, an increase from 253.7 bln in 2021.
