Argentina central bank raised its Leliq interest rate by 1000 bps to 91% after a 300 bps hike on April 20th to stop the sharp decline of the peso in parallel markets and curb inflation, which surged to 104% YoY in March. The monetary authority also implemented new restrictions for companies, such as an extended wait time to receive dollars at a cheaper rate.
