Kenya economy expanded by 3.8% in Q4 2023, down from a revised 4.3% in the prior quarter. In 2022, Kenya’s GDP growth slowed to 4.8%, a significant decrease compared to the 7.6% registered during the same period last year. The agriculture sector contracted by 1.9%, marking the second consecutive year of decline, while the manufacturing and construction sectors also saw slower growth. However, the country’s national statistics agency forecasts that the economy will rebound in 2023, backed by the services sector and agriculture.
