Morocco unemployment rate rose to 12.9% in Q1 2023, its highest since Q3 2001, up from 12.1% a year earlier. The number of unemployed increased by 83,000 to 1.549 mln, and the youth unemployment rate grew to 35.3% from 33.4% in the prior year. Meanwhile, employment and labor force decreased to 10.418 mln and 11.697 mln, respectively.
