During a five-hour press conference, Armenian PM Pashinian outlined some elements of a potential peace agreement with Azerbaijan. He revealed that Armenia is willing to recognize 86.6K sq. km of Azerbaijani territory, including Karabakh, in return for Azerbaijan’s recognition of 29.8K sq. km of Armenian territory. This agreement also includes international security guarantees for Armenians in Karabakh. Furthermore, both sides would exchange several smaller enclaves seized during the 90s war. Pashinian expressed eagerness to sign the agreement “as soon as possible,” with the June 1st summit in Moldova appearing as a likely venue.
