Mozambique central bank held its benchmark lending rate at 17.25% amid potential consumer-price pressures. The bank has also raised reserve ratios for the second time this year, elevating the reserve ratio to 39% from 28% for local currency liabilities and 39.5% from 28.5% for foreign-currency liabilities, aiming to control currency liquidity and contain inflation.
