Ghana

JPMorgan analysts anticipate that the Ghanaian cedi will strengthen to 10 per USD by year-end, backed by further loan disbursements from the IMF. According to the analysts, the completion of the rest of the domestic and external debt restructuring would also alleviate Ghana’s payment needs. The debt-to-GDP ratio is forecast to end the year at 74% of GDP before reducing to 65% by 2028. On Monday, the cedi stood unchanged at 11.38 per USD.
