Mongolia’s tourism industry has reported a YoY increase of 73%, with the majority of visitors originating from Russia, China, and South Korea. With Mongolia’s economy heavily reliant on its export-oriented mining sector, tourism is the source of diversification. The Mongolian economy grew 7.9% YoY in Q1 2023, accelerating from a downwardly revised 4.7% growth in the prior period.
