In a move to reclaim command over its maritime commerce, Ukraine has proposed temporary navigation routes in the Black Sea for vessels, providing a safer passage through regions endangered by Russian threats. The primary aim of this initiative is to facilitate the movement of ships from three major Ukrainian ports – Chornomorsk, Odesa, and Pivdennyi. These ports faced virtual blockades following Russia’s withdrawal from the grain agreement in the previous month.
