Sri Lanka’s manufacturing PMI for July dropped to 44.6 from 47.3 the previous month, marking its fourth month of contraction due to the ongoing economic crisis. Conversely, the services PMI saw an upward trend, rising to 59.5 from 56.7 in June, its highest since December 2021, with new businesses seeing a rise, particularly in accommodation, financial services, and other professional services sub-sectors.
