Wheat prices fell despite repeated Russian attacks on key Ukrainian ports along the Danube. The ports have become vital for Ukraine’s crop shipments after Russia withdrew from a Black Sea grain deal. Although Moscow targeted the area four times in five days, port operations continued unaffected. Ukrainian wheat is also being exported through Croatian ports, which economy minister Yulia Svyrydenko called a “niche direction.” Despite the disruptions, an abundant supply from Russia has kept wheat prices near a three-month low.
