Tanzania registered a 60% YoY increase in the value of its diamond exports for the 12 months through July 2023, despite production being suspended since January in its only large-scale mine. Production is expected to resume in Q3 at the Williamson Diamond Mine, which accounted for 78.3% of Tanzania’s total diamond output in 2022.
