Authorities in Karabakh announced a deal permitting the transit of humanitarian aid via routes controlled by Azerbaijan. Trucks carrying aid can now pass through the Lachin corridor from Armenia and Agdam City on Azerbaijan’s side. Azeri officials have confirmed that their checkpoint on the Lachin road will remain operational. Additionally, Russian humanitarian aid will be routed through Azerbaijani territory. This agreement came just hours after Armenia appealed to the US, EU, and Iran for “urgent” talks with Azerbaijan to prevent renewed conflict, as both sides continue to assign blame.
