Inflation across several CIS countries continued to decline, with inflation in Azerbaijan slowing to 11.7% YoY for the first eight months of the year, down from 13.2% during the same period last year. In Moldova, inflation slowed to 9.7% YoY in August, slower than the 10.8% registered in July, mainly driven by food inflation, which increased by close to 10%, while service inflation reached 16%.
