Senegal’s annual inflation rate declined for the fifth straight month to 5.3% in August from 5.7% in July, marking the lowest rate since December 2021. Prices decelerated across various sectors, such as food, restaurants, hotels, and transportation. Consumer prices increased by 1.8% MoM in August, following a 2.1% rise in the previous month.
