The Dominican Republic’s inflation rate increased to 4.27% YoY in August, up from 3.95% in July. Consumer prices rose by 0.52% MoM in August. Separately, in Guatemala, agents from the attorney general office raided the facilities of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal and opened boxes of votes. The raid was seemingly part of some of the various ongoing investigations related to the national elections that culminated last month with the election of Bernardo Arevalo.
