Zambia’s annual inflation rate rose to 12% YoY in September from 10.8% in August. Consumer prices increased by 0.7% MoM. A significant contributor to this inflation was the rise in food prices, which increased by 13.4% YoY. Meanwhile, Zambia’s GDP grew by 5% YoY in Q2 2023, an improvement from the revised 4.4% growth in the first quarter.
