Serbia’s trade deficit decreased by 34% YoY, amounting to USD 5.6 bln in the first eight months of 2023. While exports increased by 7.9%, imports declined by 5.%. Consequently, the export-import ratio saw an improvement. In 2022, the trade deficit rose by 45%. Separately, the number of foreign tourists visiting Serbia increased by 18% YoY in August, with Turkish tourists leading the surge.
