Morocco’s economy grew by 2.3% in Q2 2023, a slight increase from 2.2% in Q2 2022, as reported by HCP, the country’s statistics institute. Non-agricultural sectors saw a 2.0% growth, while agricultural activities rose by 6.3%. This growth, attributed to external demand, occurred despite high inflation. Remarkably, Q1 2023 witnessed a significant economic surge of 3.5%, compared to only 0.5% growth during Q1 2022.
