Julie Kozack, a senior IMF official, has urged Zambia and its official creditor committee to expedite the signing of a memorandum regarding the country’s foreign debt restructuring. This memorandum would facilitate addressing Zambia’s USD 17 bln foreign liabilities. To highlight, the IMF approved a USD 1.3 bln ECF for Zambia in August 2022.
