Hundreds of people have died and thousands more are injured in Israel and Gaza after Palestine’s Hamas militants fired rockets from Gaza into Israel Saturday. Israeli Defense Forces have declared “a state of alert for war,” according to a statement issued by Israeli PM Netanyahu. That marks the deadliest strike by Hamas since the outbreak of the 1973 Arab-Israeli war, with tensions rising amid allegations of Iran’s involvement. Israeli officials confirmed more than 600 casualties and 2000 wounded.
