Colombia’s monthly inflation rate fell to a three-year low, leading President Petro to call for more monetary stimulus to revive growth, with the annual rate slowing to 6.12%. Anticipation is building that the central bank will expedite interest rate cuts at their September meeting, having already reduced the key rate by 2.5 pp since December to 10.75%.
