Egypt’s trade deficit expanded by 18.3% YoY in July to USD 4.6 bln. Exports rose by 10.7% YoY to USD 3.54 bln, with ready-made clothes exports surging by 37%. However, imports increased by 14.9% YoY to USD 8.14 bln, driven by higher imports of petroleum products, natural gas, and raw materials.
