Kazakhstan will borrow USD 680 mln from the AIIB and the ADB to plug its budget deficit. Earlier, the finance ministry decided to increase the budget deficit in the current year to KZT 3,590 bln (~ 7.2 bln), or 2.7% of GDP, citing a decrease in government revenues. The ministry also issued Eurobonds for USD 1.5 bln in early October.
