The Hungarian presidency of the EU Council announced that Serbia has been invited to prepare a negotiating position for the opening of Cluster 3 in accession talks. Formal decisions will depend on Serbia completing its negotiating position and the EU adopting the counterpart. EC Council President Kosta stated that Serbia could make progress with a positive EC assessment and “better alignment with foreign policy.”
