Bangladesh’s trade deficit for the first five months of the 2024-25 fiscal year narrowed to nearly USD 8 bln, down from USD 9.86 bln in the same period last year. Imports declined by 1.2% to USD 26.01 bln, while exports rose by 10.1% to USD 18.13 bln. The full-year trade deficit for 2023-24 was USD 22.43 bln.
