Border delineation between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan is expected to be “settled by the end of January”, according the Kyrgyz Deputy PM Tashiev. He added that out of the entire border line, about only 50 kilometers remains to be agreed upon. Border disputes have been a cause of conflict between the two countries in the past, including a series of deadly clashes in 2022. In December, the two countries announced they had reached an agreement on the remaining disputed border areas.
