South Africa may regain its investment-grade credit rating within two years, according to Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana. The country lost its investment-grade rating in 2020 after Moody’s downgrade, adding to previous cuts by Fitch and S&P. Economic growth has been under 1% in the last decade but is expected to rise to 1.7% in 2025 and 2% in 2026.
