China provided a USD 47 mln concessional loan to Rwanda for the Giseke irrigation dam project, covering 2,640 hectares. The loan has a 2% interest rate, a 20-year payback period, and a 6.5-year grace period. Total Chinese support to Rwanda is around USD 600 mln, including loans and grants.
