Kenya is constructing a 300 MW geothermal plant as part of a deal to settle a EUR 60 mln loan from Germany. The agreement includes a debt write-off, with the Bogoria-Silale project supplying clean energy to the grid and local communities. Currently, geothermal energy provides 44% of Kenya’s electricity.
