Kazakhstan’s oil exports via the Caspian Pipeline could be cut by as much as 30%, for up to two months, according to Russian state pipeline operator Transneft, following a major Ukrainian drone attack on an oil facility in southern Russia. This pipeline transports 70-80% of Kazakh oil exports. Further, Kazakh GDP grew 4.5% YoY in January, a slowdown from 6.2% in December, and the weakest growth rate since August. Industrial production fell by 2.3%.
