The EU provided a EUR 50 mln military package to bolster Ghana’s security forces in response to rising threats from armed groups and jihadists in West Africa. The package includes equipment for border security, intelligence-sharing, and counterterrorism, addressing the increasing risks posed by extremist groups linked to Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State.
