S&P affirmed Jordan’s BB- long-term foreign currency debt rating with a stable outlook. The agency noted that Jordan is managing the impact of the US’ decision to pause USAID disbursements, which could affect about USD 300 mln of annual assistance (0.5% of GDP), while other international support remains intact, under the agency’s baseline scenario. In total, the US provides annual support to Jordan of USD 1.45 -1.65 bln (around 3% of GDP), including broader military and budget-related support.
