Rwanda’s economy grew by 8.9% in 2024, driven by strong performances in the services, industry, and agriculture sectors. The country’s GDP expanded in each quarter, with growth rates of 9.7% in Q1, 9.8% in Q2, 8.1% in Q3, and 8% in Q4. At current market prices, Rwanda’s GDP was estimated at 18.9 trillion Rwandan francs (about USD 13.2 bln), a significant increase from USD 11.7 bln in 2023.
