Somalia officially became the 53rd member of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), with the aim of boosting intra-African trade and economic growth. Somalia’s membership is expected to enhance access to financial resources, investment opportunities, and capacity building, especially in infrastructure and trade facilitation.
