Colombia’s economy grew by 1.7% in 2024, recovering from 2023’s 0.7% growth, but still lagging behind regional peers. Brazil led the region with 3.4% growth, followed by Uruguay (3.1%) and Chile (2.6%). ECLAC forecasts modest growth for Latin America and the Caribbean, projecting 2.2% growth in 2024 and 2.4% in 2025. ECLAC emphasized the need for policies to enhance productivity and investment to improve growth prospects.
