South Africa unveiled a USD 3 bln plan to improve services and infrastructure in major cities, including Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town. Funded by a USD 1 bln World Bank loan and USD 2 bln from the government, the program focuses on enhancing water, sanitation, electricity, and waste management services. The plan aims to improve urban living conditions for 22 mln people and will offer grants to cities that meet specific targets.
