The Mozambican government has approved a USD 7.2 bln investment for the Coral Norte LNG project, set to produce 3.5 million metric tons per year starting in Q2 2028. Mozambique’s LNG reserves could generate USD 100 bln in revenue, potentially positioning the country as one of the top ten global LNG producers by 2040, accounting for 20% of Africa’s LNG output.
