DR Congo and Rwanda moved forward with the long-delayed USD 760 mln Ruzizi III hydropower plant after US-backed peace efforts. The 206 MW facility is expected to double Burundi’s power capacity, boost Rwanda’s by 30%, and enhance eastern Congo’s electricity supply by 2030.
