Zambia plans to borrow an additional ZMW 14.8 bln (USD 624 mln) from domestic markets and raise ZMW 4.9 bln in new taxes to offset a budget shortfall. The IMF has called for revenue-enhancing measures and spending reprioritization before disbursing the penultimate tranche of the ongoing 38-month program.
