Bangladesh

Bangladesh and the World Bank have entered into two financing agreements totaling USD 858 mln to enhance climate-resilient agricultural growth and improving road safety. A USD 500 mln program will support crop diversification, food safety, and climate resilience across the nation’s agri-food systems. Further, the IFAD will contribute an extra USD 43 mln for the same project. The remaining USD 358 mln will support a road safety project. The World Bank loans come with a 30-year term, including a five-year grace period.
