Bangladesh

Moody’s has placed negative rating actions on seven Bangladeshi banks, including BRAC Bank, City Bank, Dutch-Bangla Bank, Eastern Bank, NCC Bank, and Premier Bank. These banks have witnessed a downgrade in their long-term local and foreign currency deposit and issuer ratings. In a significant shift, the outlook for these seven banks has been altered from ‘under review for downgrade’ to ‘stable’. These rating actions follow Moody’s downgrading Bangladesh’s rating from Ba3 to B1.
