Bangladesh’s trade deficit contracted by 44 YoY in May. The deficit narrowed to USD 17.16 bln in the first eleven months of FY23. Exports saw a 6.77% YoY increase, while imports fell 14.11%. The current account deficit stood at USD 4.51 bln between July and May, compared to USD 17.28 bln a year earlier.
